Ethan Feld sucks at all things athletic. His dad was a great baseball player, so Ethan legitimately tries to get better at the game. He’s a relatively sad kid, a loner, whose mother has died. Life gets a lot more interesting for Ethan when he goes after a baseball and meets a 100-year-old baseball scout who introduces him to a magical land of fairies and less desirable, evil, fantastical creatures. Can Ethan win the most important game of his life, find his father, win the girl of his dreams, and regain his happiness?

Anyone who is into mythology will find the references to Norse mythology and Native American mythology very interesting. Great for a 7-8th grade student who reads a lot and enjoys fantasical tomes.
