The four Willoughby children dream to become orphans because of their horrid parents.  Their parents wish to be rid of them as well, so they soon place their children in the care of a nanny and plan a vacation to a very dangerous location to get away from them.  Soon enough, the children’s wish comes true.  Now, the four children, their nanny, a mysterious baby left on their doorstep, and a heartbroken commander who lives next door are hoping to find their happy ending.

This story is parody of other books about orphaned children, so it may be helpful to be familiar with those stories as well. The book also features some vocabulary that some students may be unfamiliar with, but there is conveniently a humorous glossary in the back of the book.
