This book is the sequel to The Face on the Milk Carton.  Now that Janie has solved the mystery of her kidnapping she is sent to live in her new home with her biological family and new siblings, the Springs.  They force her to go back to her old name, Jennie.  Janie misses her old family who raised her and just wants to continue her old life as Janie.  The Springs want justice on the person who kidnapped their daughter and Janie is afraid they will go after the Springs who treated her so kindly.  The hunt goes on for the Johnsons’s daughter, Hannah, who had initially kidnapped Janie and dropped her off to be raised with the Johnsons.  In the end, Janie gets to back to her old home and continue her life with the Johnsons and the search for Hannah is given up.

This book is great for students who loved The Face on the Milk Carton. It dives into detail on what happened to Janie after she unraveled the mystery to her own kidnapping. I know some girls who read both of the books and they could not put it down!
