Joey Pigza is a middle school boy who has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. Not only does he have this behavioral disorder but he has also been sent to live with his Grandma when his mother and father left him. Joey struggles in school because he cannot stay focused and has trouble behaving. His teachers have decided if he cannot improve his behavior that he will be sent to a special school for Special Education. Joey most definitely does not want to go there so he has to figure this out.

I would recommend this book to any middle schooler! Especially students who have trouble focusing because they can relate to Joey. Even still, kids will find Joey funny and entertaining. I could not put the book down and I am sure students won’t be able to either!
