Series: 4th of 7, The Tillerman Cycle

It’s the 1960’s and the Vietnam war is happening. Bullet Tillerman is faced with making the decision to stay on his family farm with his distant mother and strict father, or go and fight. For the time being Bullet just loves to run, not only is he the school track star he also spends most of his time off running. When his coach asks him to train with the new black student Bullet has to face his own prejudices.

This book is good for any one who is interested in historical fiction, race issues, politics, and overcoming prejudices. This book is also part of the Tillerman Cycle, but can definitely be read on its own.
