This book is a journal of the life of a Hmong-American girl name Choua Vang. She writes about her struggles as a Hmong-American teen living in Minnesota, as well as her family issues, friends and school life.

I recommend this book to all who are interested in learning about different cultures. I think it’s a good book to read, whether you are a student, an educator or a parent. It’s good to know about the lives of Hmong people. You can also connect it to your life even if you are not Hmong.
