Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is following Harry into his 5th year at Hogwarts. On top of his normal antics, he is facing a lot more homework due to the O.W.L. exams that will help place him into his future career. Hogwarts is also facing the heavy hand of the Ministry of Magics involvement to control Dumbledore and discredit him as a top wizard. Dolores Umbridge is the embodiment of this heavy hand and she seeks to take control of Hogwarts and Harry.

I would recommend this book to my students but there would be a lot of language barriers for them to hash out. I think for a non native English speaker, there might be too much fantastical language for them to sift through to really enjoy this book.
