Johnny happily arrives home to his family after receiving his straight-A report card but finds himself horribly confused and hurt when he learns that he is actually a foster child. When he is told that he has to move in with a new family, he runs away as he feels like he doesn’t belong anywhere. He joins a gang of other runaway foster children and finds himself in violent situations but doesn’t know where else to turn.
This is a good book for people who enjoy simple yet involving reads. The reader feels and understands Johnny’s conflicting emotions.
